Since launch, Nmap for Android™ has supported API Level 3 and above. However, if no one is using these older versions of the operating system then I, as a developer, can drop support and take advantage of the features only available in newer API's.
The visible numbers on the above chart show the API Level; the shaded areas represent relative distribution of those API Levels.
